1. Introduction
With the introduction of GeForce3 Titanium series of products, NVIDIA seeks to expand the range ot its customers and to meet the broad consumer interest in
graphical products of high quality. The GeForce3 Titanium series comprises three videochips, one of them addressed to low-budget users, who need high performace. GeForce3 TI 200 is a GeForce3 accelerator with lower memory and
GPU working frequencies, which explains its low price. The second model is an evolved GeForce3 accelerator, and compared to GeForce3 Ti 200, the GeForce3 Ti 500 has increased memory and GPU working frequencies. The third model is based on the GeForce2 core and its performance rating is between that of GeForce2 Pro and GeForce2 Ultra.
Unlike the latter GeForce2 chips, which are
made using 0.18 µm technology, the GeGorce2 Ti is made using 0.15 µm technology which decreases the amount of released heat and allows higher working frequencies
although this advantage is not used yet (you could benefit from it by yourselves).
With the GeForce3 Titanium products entering the market, a wider range of users
may touch visual effects of new generation offered by the GeForce3 video-accelerators.
Inno3D Tornado accelerator is a continuation of the high-quality series of
video-accelrators offered by Inno3D Multimedia thus strengthening its position
as a manufacturerer of reliable producs. The fact that the hardware problems with
their video-cards are reduced to none was proven again by the results of the tests
of Inno3D GeForce Titanium.
The new series of graphics accelerators GeForce3 Titanium gave birth to two
innovations and these are the "Shadow Buffer" and "3D Textures" technologies.
The first one allows the developers to create hardware acceleration for the
creation of realistic shadows. This technology has proven its advantages in
animated movies like the computer generated film "Final Fantasy: The Spirits
Within" made by Columbia Pictures after the well-known game. Until last year,
however, this technology had been only available for profesional graphics
rendering equipement. The full support of "3D textures" allows the developers
to create palette of unlimited visual effects which enables them to add depth
to the hollow objects and to decorate them with additional three-dimensional
details like wood or marble.

GeForce2 Ti video cards allow the customer to receive a video-accelerator
with a price equivalent to that of GeForce2 Pro, but with higher performance
which is closer to the performance of the leader in this class - GeForce2 Ultra.
